I guess Mephisto likes rainbow-colored characters. Introduced in Avengers (Vol. 8) #10 (2018) by Jason Aaron and Ed McGuiness, this version of Spectrum was created by Mephisto in order for his servant, Agent Phil Coulson, to discredit the Avengers and allowed the Squadron Supreme of America to be the de-factor team of the United States. He was made to believe that he was once an astronaut that happens upon the Power Prism while on a spacewalk. The team was present to General Ross who sent them to attack the Defenders of the Deep.

The team would work together to defeat Frost Giants during the War of the Realms, helping free the states from the Giant’s rule. Later after reality was warped into the Heroes Reborn universe, where the Avengers never formed, the Squadron would retain their memories of this universe, which cause them emotional trauma. They were later sent to capture Red Widow, but Spectrum was killed by Power Princess, who stole the Prism to use against a brainwashed Hyperion.

This version of Spectrum would receive a figure as part of a Squadron Supreme 2-pack, which had a Hyperion based on this version of the team.
