He is a cosmic powered, robotic Hulk. Introduced in Eternals #14 (1977) by Jack Kirby, this living AI program was created by Galactus to help him find suitable planets for him to consume. The program would trick the inhabitant to build him a body. However, some inhabitants found a way to used the program against Galactus sending them to attack the World Devourer. Galactus abandoned the idea. The program eventually found it’s way to Earth, where it happened upon Dr. Gregson Gilbert who used the program to build Dragon Man. However, the program deemed this a failure and search for another person.

It eventually found the Mad Thinker, who built a robotic Hulk but instead of activating it, he put it in storage. It was eventually found by 2 college students who wanted to use it as a college mascot. However, a blast from the Eternal’s activated the program and went on a rampage. It was stopped when Zuras siphoned off his energy. It remained in the Eternal’s home until it was stolen by the Intelligencia, who reprogrammed it to obey them. They sent it to attack Red Hulk and A-bomb and it easily defeated them. He was then sent to attack Dr. Doom. Doom defeated and deactivated the machine. It was sent to a defunct SHIELD carrier and attacked the Red Hulk. Red Hulk defeated it and the machine was sent to SHIELD.

Cosmic Hulk is one of many character that very few people have heard about. However, he would receive a figure in the Marvel Select brand as a swappable head.

Cosmic Hulk

Recommend Figure:  Diamond Select Marvel Select – Savage Hulk

  • Background:
    • Everything about the Cosmic Hulk’s appearance is the same as the regular Hulk. However, once he is damaged, you can see the robotic insides he has.
  • Why you need it for your collection?:
    • I know some people are Legends purist but the beauty of some Select 7″ figure is that you can fudge the larger character your display. This is not really a must have. Get it for you Hulk collection it you want. We are also about to get Eternals next year so you could get it for them but most of them will be MCU so it might not work.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No. Will Hasbro make their own version? Maybe but for now, use this one.

Needs

Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not fact. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
