He only wears a helmet to keep his face pretty. Vinnie Jones would be proud. Introduced in Defenders #17 (1974) by Len Wein and Sal Buscema, Henry Camp was abandoned by his mother soon after his birth. Raised in an orphanage, he would later join the US Army and achieve the rank of Master Sergeant. He would be dishonorably discharged before turning to a life of crime. Ending up in Ryker’s Island, he would be placed in a cell with Dirk Garthwaite (Wrecker), as well as Brian Calusky and Eliot Franklin. All four escaped the prison and went with Wrecker to get his enchanted crowbar. Wrecker allowed the other to share his powers and they became the Wrecking Crew, with Camp becoming Bulldozer.
As a member of the Crew, Bulldozer would battle the Defenders and Avengers many times as well as solo heroes like Thor, Hulk and even Spider-man. He would be extremely loyal to Wrecker, who treated the Crew like his brothers. The Crew would join Hood’s gang and would later help in the Pleasant Hill prison break. Camp’s daughter, Marci, has also been revealed to inherit his father’s powers and joined the Frightful Four as Bulldozer.
Bulldozer, along with the rest of the Wrecking Crew, have been a fan favorite for years. He originally was supposed a swap figure for the Rocket Raccoon Mini-Baf wave’s Wrecker, but all those swap figures either out right cancelled (IE White Phoenix and AOA Jean Grey) or placed in another wave. For Bulldozer, he was placed in the Ant-man’s Ultron wave.
Classic II

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends Ant-man’s Ultron wave – Marvel’s Bulldozer
- Background:
- Shortly after gaining his powers, Camp designed a set of armor, including a helmet and bracers. Given that his powers mostly involve him charging into the enemy, these were designed to protect. While simplistic at first, later artists gave the suit more detail, which continues to this day.
- Why you need it for your collection?:
- If you got the other three, you would need this to complete the Wrecking Crew, particularly since he is rarely if ever seen without the other 3. You will also need it for a Masters of Evil and Hood’s Gang set up as well as an Avengers, Defenders, Hulk, Thor, Spider-men, etc. villain’s display.
- Does it need a remake?:
- Yes. All four were made on an outdated build and are much too large compare to their comic counterparts.
Needs
Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not fact. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
