Probably the only person who can say “Hey! My eyes are down here.” Introduced in Captain America #208 (1977) by Jack Kirby, Arnim Zola was the Nazi’s foremost genetic engineer. He would work for them creating genetic and robotic soldiers. At some point, he developed a process of copying someone mind into another body. He eventually used this to transfer his mind into a robotic body and he continued to survive after WWII. He would work behind the scenes for years, including aiding Hydra and making a cloned body for Hitler to create the Hate Monger. He would later resurface in Central America where he fought Cap.

He would battle other heroes, including Hulk, Wolverine and even Shamrock. He was even responsible for Jolt getting her powers. He would later reunited with Red Skull and Dr. Faustus in order to brainwash Sharon Carter to assassinate Cap after the Civil War. He then tried to transfer Skull’s mind into Cap’s baby that Sharon was carrying but a fight with Sin cause her to lose the baby. He sacrificed his body in order to Skull. He would later return in a new body. After a few more fights, he would later take over another dimension. He created to 2 children but fought against Cap who took one of the children and raise it himself. After years in the world, Arnim was eventually defeated and his daughter escaped to the prime Earth with Cap. Months later, after Cap had aged into an old man, Zola invaded New York but was pushed back by the Avengers. He would joined Evil Cap in the Secret Empire but went into hiding after he was defeated.

Arnim Zola is one of Cap’s most famous villains, up there with Red Skull and Crossbones. However, because of his unique design, it took many year for him to be made but he has received a couple of figures over the years. His first ML was as a BAF in the Return of Marvel Legends line for the second wave. He would later see a resculpt/repaint in a 2-pack with Evil Captain America as a Secret Empire set.

Classic

Recommend Figure:  Hasbro Marvel Legends Return of Marvel Legends Arnim Zola wave – Arnim Zola (BAF)

  • Background:
    • This is Zola’s most classic design. The box in the top of his is actually a camera and the remote like design is what he uses to control his genetic minions, like Dough Boy.
  • Why you need it for your collection?:
    • As one of Cap’s most famous villains, you will need an Arnim Zola in your collection. However if you want a classic costume then you will need to either buy the whole wave or see if you get the parts online. The figure as a whole is going for less then the wave if you can find it.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No.

Dimension Z

Recommend Figure:  Hasbro Fan Channel Exclusive Marvel Legends Secret Empire 2-pack – Arnim Zola with Hydra Supreme

  • Background:
    • After Steve Rogers returned to being Cap after Bucky, one of his first adventure saw him getting on a train that traveled to Dimension Z, a world rule over by Zola. Cap was captured and Zola revealed himself in this form. This is what he wore throughout most modern tales.
  • Why you need it for your collection?:
    • This is a much more easier version of Zola to get. Get this if you missed the previous version or want a more modern version. If they ever make a Ian (as Nomad) or Jet Black then you will need this version.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No.

Needs

Below you will find a gallery of suits that still need to be made. I have included what I think are the possibilities of them being made. Note that these are my personal opinions and not facts. Please let me know if I have missed anything.
