Give a whole new meaning to a cursed sword huh. Introduced in Thor: God of Thunder #2 (2012) by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribić, All-Black was the first symbiote created by Knull, which he used to slay the Celestial whose head would become Knowhere. With this sword, Knull began his reign of terror, fighting many ancient being but at some point in time, while fighting the Enigma force’s host, the sword separated from Knull. It would find an alien named Gorr and bonded with it. Thus Gorr began his century long campaign of slaughter one which lasted far into the future. Eventually Gorr was defeated and separated from him after Thor slayed the Butcher. He at some point returned to the present where he was bonded with Malekith during the War of the Realm. Back in the future, All-Black would bond with the Loki of that world and battle King Thor. When Knull was finally released from his prison, he reformed the All-Black again and went to Earth to destroy it. He was defeated with the combine might of Eddy Brock, his son Dylan and the Enigma Force. He would later be bonded with Dylan, taking the name Codex, during the Venom War.

Knull

Recommend Figure: Hasbro Marvel Legends Spider-man 60th Anniversary 2-pack – All-Black Pack in with Knull and Venom

  • Background:
    • As it’s creator, All-Black has been used by Knull more then any one, being his tool of destruction for centuries. When he was release, Knull would bring the sword with him on his campaign.
  • Why do you need it for your collection?
    • Obviously you will be getting this set for Knull, with the All-Black just being an accessory. But if you are getting it, you can add this to your Venom/Symbiote shelf or to your general Spider-man/Cosmic villain’s shelf.
  • Does it need a remake?
    • No.
