Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. We all know about Vision. The android created by Ultron, using Wonder Man’s brain patterns and the original Human Torch’s body (time warping Immortus BS aside), who was sent to destroy the Avengers before joining them. But what if I was to tell you that not only wasn’t he the original character to use the codename Vision but if Roy Thomas had his way, he wouldn’t have been the one to join the Avengers. Thomas’ original plan was to bring the original Vision to join the Avengers but Stan Lee, editor in chief at the time, told Thomas that they needed a new character that was an android. Thus Vision was created using the original Vision design as a base. But we aren’t here to talk about the famous one. We are here to talk about the original Vision (Aarkus). We actually have 90% of the body they could use for him, with the Iron Man retro Whiplash. However, I don’t think we would get him in a regular line. Like I have said with many of the WWII heroes, I think the best chance of us getting them is part of massive MTO box set with various WWII characters.
