Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. It’s been a while since I did an Ideal wave, since the Venom Last Dance movie, but with the first MCU film of the year, Captain America: Brave New World, it’s time to do one again. I don’t think I have ever done a Cap wave yet. I did a box set for Falcon And Winter Soldier but that was years ago. This was harder to make because I wanted to include a number of characters from the movie but I have either done them already in other waves. I also will say I didn’t want to include a certain character because of her political toxicity at the moment. You guys know who I mean. But none the less I tried to include a variety of Cap related characters.

Theme of the wave: Captain America and Falcon

Here are the characters I picked for a Captain America comic based wave.

As for why I picked each (As always, know when I am talking about the build, I always mean it will have a new head):

• Falcon (remake, main character) – We of course start off with the star of the movie, Sam Wilson. But since we only just got his Captain America costume in a deluxe set, I said I would go back and see what costume needed a remake and the one that almost everyone has been asking for, is the First Flight suit version or the classic version. Originally part of the TB Mojo series, this upgraded version would us the same body as his previous version (The Sunfire mold) with new arms.
• Captain America (New costume) – For this wave, I had to include a Steve Rogers of some sort, so I decided to choice a costume I want, the Cap Armor. Now I know this is laughed upon but I really want a figure of this. This would require a whole new sculpt but I’m sure they can use it for something else.
• Nick Fury (Ultimate, remake) – For another remake in this wave, I wanted to include an Ultimate Universe character but since we have gotten Cap a few times, I decided they should remake the Ultimate Universe Nick Fury. I know what some of you are saying, why not use the MCU or Nick Fury Jr. version? Well, for one there is the artistic reason and another is that this will sell because he is a Nick Fury figure. This would use the new Punisher build.
• Falcon (Torres, New) – Next up we have the character that is making his MCU hero debut in this movie. Torres is very different in the comics. for one think he has been spliced with the DNA of a falcon thus given in a bird like face. They could include that in this set, but I think they should include Redwing instead. This would use the Vulcan body with the Falcon wings.
• Captain America (Danielle Cage, New, Female) – For the next character I wanted to include a female character of color as well as a more traditional Cap. I could have included Isaiah, but I included him in another wave. So instead, I went with Luke and Jess’s daughter who would eventually grow up to take in mantle in multiple universes. This would use the Shriek body mold with added straps and new arms and legs.
• Asp (New, Female) – I wanted to include Diamondback but I did that with the previous F+WS set and then I wanted to include Black Mamba, but I did that with the Super-villains sets I did. So, I decided to go with the third and final member of the BAD Girl trio with Asp as well as adding a Serpent Society member. This would use the Warbird build.
• Porcupine (New) – I already went over why I have included this when i did the Missing Legends (see here) last Sunday, but I had to include it here.
• BAF: Sidewinder – Now for the BAF, we have Sidewinder, one of the leaders of the Society. Now i know what people will say, that he is not big enough to be a baf but this is a character that size as fluctuated over the years and he does have a pretty unique design. That and I wanted to include him in some way.

and that is what I want for a Cap Wave based around the characters in the movie. I know I didn’t include Ross or the Leader but I did in other waves, so I left them out. Let me know what you think below or on any social media. In the poll before, which one of these would you instantly buy?
