Wait. He is a widowed, cyborg, alien, pirate, freedom fighter….. someone is marking off a bingo book right now. Introduced in X-Men #107 (1977) by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum, Raza was in the same prison camp as Christopher Summer, the later Corsair, when him, Summers, Ch’Od and Hepzibah executed a prison break and stole the starship, the Starjammer. They then went around the Shi’Ar empire to attack D’Ken’s forces to bring down the mad king. They encountered the X-men when the mutants were fighting the Imperial Guards. They would help Lilandra bring down her brother and become Majestrix. Thus she pardoned them for their pirate activities. When Vulcan became emperor, Raza was captured and forced to bond with the Zzxz symbiote to serve Vulcan. He was forced to commit war crimes until he was stopped by Nova and rejoined the Starjammers.

  • Which has the best chance of being made? – Either version of Raza has a chance of being made. but If I had to pick I think the Rise and Fall version has an easier chance of being made.
  • How can it be made? – This one can easily be slotted into an X-men wave, either as a Retro card (like was done in the X-men toyline), BAF wave or a 2-pack with Hepzibah. If they wait long enough, I could see them releasing the whole team as a box set.
