Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Last week we saw the announcement of the first Iron Man Retro wave. I personally love the wave but there was some stuff I didn’t like, the three Iron Men being one of them. (Even though I think all three look freaking fantastic). So, I began thinking what I would place into an Iron man Retro wave. I tried to include both classic and modern, new/remake armors and new characters.

Be sure to vote in the poll below where I ask each of the two choices would you like Hasbro to do a retro wave of, the Ghost Rider’s wave (Because they already have the card back for it) or the Hulk (Because he is the most likely to get a retro wave). The winner will get a Ideal Wave from me.

Theme of the wave: Armored Hero/villains

As for while I picked them:

• Hydro Armor Iron Man: Okay, I didn’t say this wave shouldn’t include any Iron men. In fact I have 2, first being probably his most request Speciality armors ever, the Hydro Armor. Alot of this could be done using the Silver Centurion with new arms and legs.
• Ultimate Iron Man: Next up we have an armor that is in serious need of a proper update, the Ultimate Universe armor, the Ultimate Universe Iron Man. This would require a whole new sculpt but with the Ultimate Universe (Or a new version of it at least) being a big thing at the moment, it seems like we may get a new version soon.
• Century: Now for one of 2 brand new character, the first being the Force Works member, Century. I mean the Retro line is the perfect place to put this character. This would use Vulcan body with some new parts and a new overly.
• Crimson Dynamo: Next we move onto some villains with one of the more request character, Crimson Dynamo, particular the Dimitri Bukharin version, which is the version most people thing of when they thing of this character. This could easily be done using one of Iron Men’s as the based but it would have to be heavily resculpted.
• Madame Masque: We got her father for the last wave so lets get Whitney for this wave. We had her before but that looks really bad these days. Yes, I know I included her in another Ideal wave but we are still waiting for her to be remade. This would be done using the Quake/Maria hill body.
• Mandarin: Ahh. You all thought I wouldn’t include this guy didn’t you? The biggest complaint I heard about the Retro wave was that they didn’t include Mandarin, Iron Man’s greatest villain. For this, I picked his Acts of Vengeance armored version, simply because it’s one of his less racist versions. That and it can easily be made using….the Stryfe figure. I mean look at the image and look at this. All Hasbro has to do beside the head is give him a new lower half.
