Hey plastic addicts. A few weeks ago I posted a thread on Marvelousnews.com asking people to create an ideal wave for the Upcoming Black Widow movie. While I didn’t get alot of votes (need to try something else next time) I did get a general idea on what people want for this wave. Many people included MCU and comic figure using the theme (which you can find below) but I had to take out any vote for the Winter Soldier and Falcon. This is because I will be doing a Ideal Wave for them in a few more week, since they are getting a TV Series so they might get a wave as well.
When I asked people to vote I gave them the following rules:
- 6-8 figures per wave. No more. No less.
- Some version of the Title hero most be in it. In this case Black Widow
- 1 or 2 Female per wave.
- 1 or 2 Villains per wave, but these could be female as well.
- 1 or 2 brand new characters that has never been done before
- 1 or 2 remakes. The Remakes can also be new costumes as Like Classic Spider-man or Iron Spider.
- Each wave most have a Theme ie Spider-man can include Street Level heroes or Iron Man can include Tech Heroes and villains. However there is no strict rules if you want to include characters outside the theme

So let’s get started with the 4 MCU Characters that most people have voted for this 6 figure wave (there were other suggestion but none made more the one):
Black Widow, Taskmaster, Yelena Belova and Red Guardian
While I wasn’t surprised by the inclusion of Black Widow and Taskmaster, I was really surprised that many people wanted Red Guardian and Yelena Belova without having seen what they may look like in the movie. I mean, for Red Guardian, we don’t even know if he is going to be a costume hero or they are just using Alexsi as a normal character. Yelena, however, is rumoured to be taking over for Natasha after this movie so her inclusion was obvious. If I was to pick some comic versions for each of these I would pick Grey Suit Natasha, The Nikolai Krylenko’s version of Red Guardian (Since Alexsi’s version was done and not many people can tell the difference) and a Classic Yelena Belova. Taskmaster doesn’t really have anymore version left, but I wouldn’t mind them doing something like they did with Venom and re-release him with more accessories.
Darkstar
Next we have a character that was a character that was in many people’s list, Darkstar. This Russian beauty has been in the Marvel Universe for a while and has many connections to Black Widow, one being part of the same Champions team that Black Widow led. Not only that but she has many connections with both the X-men and the Avengers, the later where she appeared as part of both the Soviet Super Soldiers and later Winter Guard, alongside her brother, who is the version of Red Guardian I suggested. This would be a very easy repaint figure of the standard female buck with a new head and the Dazzler light effect.
Crimson Dymano
Next up we have a classic Iron Man villain that has also fought Cap, the Avengers, Black Widow etc. However in Russia he is considered a hero. In fact, despite being an identity by dozens of people (and I mean dozens) many of them have used the Identity for heroic deed all in the name of Mother Russia, solo or being part of SSS or the Winter Guard alongside other team. While there has been many version of the armor and Hasbro has released a version, most people want a version of the “classic” armor soon. This will of course needs to be a nearly all new sculpt but Hasbro can save by using the Taskmaster and Darkstar as easy repaint.
BAF: Ursa Major
When I started this list, I thought that Titanium Man would be a high contender so I voted for this character, Ursa Major, a human that can transform into a Bear. To my surprise many people love this idea and voted for him as well. I mean what is better then getting an Action Figure of a Vodka drinking bear. Not only that but he has been a major member of both the SSS and Winter Guard. If you don’t like the idea of this, Hasbro could release this and later in a Spidey wave, they could give us a Grizzly head to use on this. So win win.
