Hey gang. With Toy Fair over (have you lot gotten your detox yet?) and with us looking forward to the Endgame movie, I decided to do another Ideal wave poll, Iron Man VS Captain America, on the Facebook page. Well, with over 200 votes, Iron Man loses again. However it was extremely close with Cap only winning by 53% of the votes. Iron Man goes onto the next poll where he will eventually face off against Thor.

With Chris Evans 100% confirmed to be leaving the MCU role after end game, it will be hard for Cap to get a wave of his own. However, I think Hasbro should make a new subline, something like Marvel Legends Heroes, with each wave focuses on a different hero. That way they can make each new wave something different and give a broader look at the Marvel Universe. I will also be something new this time so have a look below the BAF.

As always the rules:

• 6-8 figures per wave. No more. No less.
• Some version of the Title hero most be in it.
• 1 or 2 Female per wave.
• 1 or 2 Villains per wave, but these could be female as well.
• 1 or 2 brand new characters that has never been done before
• 1 or 2 remakes. The Remakes can also be new costumes as Like Classic Spider-man or Iron Spider.
• Each wave most have a Theme ie Spider-man can include Street Level heroes or Iron Man can include Tech Heroes and villains.

The Theme for this wave: World War II and Espionage

1. First Appearance Captain America

Starting off this wave we have Cap. It was actually hard to pick a version of Cap to put in this wave, especially since they have just announce the Classic version in the 80th line. Before that, I was even thinking of putting in the Hydra Cap or Civil Warrior. However, given that it’s the 80th year of Marvel, I thought it would be a great opportunity to redo the First Appearance Cap. Hasbro released a version of this before but it was extremely goofy with a big grin on his face. This is obviously reuse a re-sculpted 80th Anniversary Cap with a new neck area and head. The shield can just be a reuse of the Rider’s line WWII Cap.

2. Bucky

Since I put FA Cap in this wave, I had to put Bucky in it. This is another figure that Hasbro goofed up on in the same wave as the previous FA Cap. While I would like for them to do Winter Soldier in this wave, I thought of a better way to release him. Plus you can’t have FA Cap without Bucky. While some would say he should be on the Teenage buck, Ed Brubaker’s run on the book actually retconned him as a young adult and not a teen. As such he should use the Ghost Rider build with the Bucky Cap legs. He should also come with 2 of the Chameleon’s tommy gun like he did in the MU scale.

3. Falcon

Next up we have Cap’s other famous partner, Falcon. It’s been a long while since we have had a classic comic book Falcon. Which is weird since he is a big part of the MCU as well as the fact that Hasbo has shown that they can do winged figure with Darkhawk. As for which version, some say they want a modern version while other say they want the classic. I decided to go half way and do a modern version of his classic outfit that he wore before becoming Cap. It gives us the classic version we want as well as giving us a more contemporary look for the character. He will obviously come with Red Wing.

4. Diamondback

Taking one of the 2 female spots in this wave as well as giving us another member of the Serpent Society, we have Cap’s former lover Diamondback. When Hasbro first revealed that they were building the Society, most fans essentially wanted this character above everybody else (Love Rock Python but he got made before DB?). She has been a long time supporting character of Cap as well as sometime lover. This will use the Medusa body mold with new sculpted hands and torso. She should also come with 2 head, one shown above and one with a mask.

05. Madame Hydra

The second female figure in this wave is another Society member, Viper. However, for this wave she will be called Madame Hydra. Another character that has had a figure before but Hasbro was still using old shitty build for it as well as having a darn ugly face. For this, I think she should be made like the image shown above, on the Moonstone build with Mockingbird’s belt and a new cape. Also her face sculpt should have part of the hair over her eye, giving her her signature design.

06 Crossbones

Taking one of the villains spots is another remake, this time of Crossbones. This neo-Nazi has actually been released twice both as Exclusive making them extremely hard to find. Not only that but I feel like the body they used for him was way to big for the characters. I think he should use the Nuke body with a new vest to cover the body. He should obviously come with a some pistols and machine guns.

7. Baron Blood

The final regular figure that I want in this wave is Baron Blood. Why Baron Blood of all people? Well when Hasbro announced the latest Union Jack character, they made it seem like they were going to announce Baron Blood instead. So imagine my disappointment when they didn’t announce him. This is the arch-enemy of Union Jack as well as being a member of Hydra. This will use the Pizza Spidey mold with removable wings like how MCU Spidey and Spider-woman had.

BAF: Armadillo

Taking the BAF position of this wave we have a character that is hardly known but is highly request, Armadillo. This character has worked for both the hero and the villains. He has been a part of many of Cap’s villain teams but usually turns against them when he knows he is doing something wrong. This will use the Abomination build with new claws and head.

That’s the wave but that’s not all I have planned for this wave. I also included a number of other sets that could be released at the same time of this wave in order to promote the line.

Riders Line: Winter Soldier

For the Riders line, since they announced a Cap in it and the fact that he might be taking Cap’s place in the MCU, I think they should make a new Winter Soldier in the line. This was released before but it was during the Dark Days and was very hard to find. This will come with guns and a interchangeable head with a mask similar to the Thunderbolt’s version. However, unlike the image above, I think the bike he should use a black version of Black Widow’s bike. Why? Because the other bike has been used 3 times already.

Two-Pack: Classic Cap and Baron Zemo

Next up we have a 2-pack. Since the 2-pack that Hasbro releases seems to be based on certain Storylines, I think using the Avengers Under Siege arc would be a perfect tie-in to this line. For it I have pick what is essentially the most famous fight in that arc, with Cap facing off against Zemo. The Cap figure will just be a lighter repaint of the 80th Line with Baron Zemo using the Bucky Cap mold with a new upper torso and arms.

Multi-Pack: The Invaders

For a multi-pack I decided to go back to WWII and look at the heroes of the time with the Invaders. I have pick 5 characters that are both obscure and needed in figure form.

• First is one of the few WWII heroines of the time, the British Spitfire. She will use the Kate Bishop mold. With Union Jack coming out, we need her to stand with him.
• Next is the original Human Torch. How this hasn’t been released with all the Johnny Storms we have gotten boggles the mind. Obviously this will use the Walgreen’s Human Torch with a new head and repainted into a classic version.
• US Agent is next. “But US Agent wasn’t in WWII” I hear you say. That is true but he was part of the New Invaders so it counts. (Shut up it’s my list) Like alot of people said this should be done on the Spider-UK or the Cap-Wolf build.
• Destroyer takes the fourth spot. This has been 2 people, both who were lovers of the other. Just like the Spitfire, with Union Jack coming we need him to stand with that. He should use the Bucky Cap build.
• Finally we have Blazing Skull. This Ghost Rider lookalike actually came before the Rider. He has actually gotten a few fans since his reintroduction in New Invaders. This will use the Spider-UK Build with Rider’s head and a new chainmail scarf.
