What if Heather McDaniel married Logan instead of James Hudson? Introduced in Exiles #10 (2002) by Judd Winick, Mike McKone and Jim Calafiore, similar to the Prime universe of Sasquatch, this version of Heather accidentally opened a portal to the realm of the Great Beast and merges with Tanaraq. She would join Alpha Flight and was sent to capture Wild Man, this universe’s version of Wolverine. She succeeded and after spending time together, she would marry Logan. However, he eventually was manipulated into a berserker rage, and she had no choice but to kill her husband. She was devastated but with the loving aid of James Hudson, she grew past it and married James.

She was eventually recruited by the Timebroker and joined the Exiles. As a member of the Exiles, she would help the team battle vampire Avengers, the team’s counterpart Weapon X and was nearly killed by another Magik but was saved by her teammate Nocturne. She would eventually lose her powers to turn into Sasquatch but would remain with the team as mission control. She would return to her universe, when she believed the team was killed. When they returned and visited her, she revealed she was pregnant and didn’t plan to return to the team.

When Toybiz made their Sasquatch figure with the white Sasquatch variant, they said that when they were making it, they used this version of Heather as the inspiration. It was part of their Apocalypse BAF series.

  • Background:
    • When this version of Sasquatch appearred, she appeared as just a white version of the Prime universe version of Sasquatch. She would remain in this form for a while and wouldn’t reveal her true form for a while and when she did, it shocked her teammates.
  • Why do you need it for your collection?
    • If you are building the Exiles team, you may want to get this. Otherwise, it can be skipped.
  • Does it need a remake?
    • Yes. Hasbro has a classic Sasquatch so repainting him in this form would be nice. Maybe an Exiles box set?
