What if the Venom symbiote bonded with the Punisher instead of Eddy Brock? That was the question asked in What If? Vol 2 #44 (1992) by Kurt Busiek and Luke McDonnell, instead of Eddy Brock being in the church that Spider-man used to get rid of the Venom Symbiote, it was Frank Castle. It bonded with the Symbiote, resulting in the largest killing spree of that universe. The symbiote tried to take over his mind but Frank realised his and threaten to kill himself if he wasn’t allowed to control his own body permanently. The Symbiote agreed. In this universe, instead of using the name Venom, they used the name Punisher. He was later seen as part of the Venomverse.

No one was really asking for this. Hell, most people may have known this was a thing but never asked for it. However, as part of Marvel Unlimited Subscription Service incentive, Hasbro made this version for it.

Background:
- For the most part, everything up to gaining the Venom symbiote remains the same for Castle. However, after gaining the symbiote, He began wearing a version similar to Prime’s Venom but with a skull instead of a Spider.
Why you need it for your collection?:
- I honestly can’t recommend getting this unless you have to have every Venom character (mostly for a Venomverse/Symbiote collection) or if you are a huge Punisher fan. If neither of those are your thing, then skip.
