Everything must come to an end. Introduced in Incredible Hulk: The End #1 (2002) by Peter David and Dale Keown, this series was part of Marvel special line of comic that would tell the end of many of their heroes life and careers. For the Hulk, after a war that ended in nuclear destruction, he would hide himself in a cave sealing the entrance with a boulder. He was eventually found by a Recorder robot, sent by another race to see if all of humanity had died. Banner learnt that all but himself had died in the war. Recorder then left Banner to wonder the wasteland, having a recorder drone to follow him around. Banner would later be attacked by mutated cockroaches and transformed into the Hulk. The bugs would eat the Hulk, who would heal himself before transforming into Banner again. Banner tried to kill himself a number of times but would later be revived by Hulk. Banner grew old and would later suffer a heart attack ending his life. However, he would transform into Hulk. Hulk knew that Banner was now dead and he has been left allow. Hulk realised that if he ever transformed back into Banner, he would die. He then proclaimed “Hulk strongest there is… Hulk only one there is… Hulk… feels… cold“.

Out of the End mini series, the Hulk issue is probably the most famous story from it. (Bit of a rant but people need to stop mixing him up with the Maestro). While no one was really asking for any of “The End” figures, he would receive a figure as part of the Fin Fang Foom wave.

  • Background:
    • The End Hulk is pretty much an older version of the Hulk. The brown/red part are actually areas that the giant cockroaches have eating and Hulk is healing.
  •  Why you need it for your collection?:
    • While I love this figure, unless you have to have every Hulk for your own version of a Hulkverse, you can skip this.
  • Does it need a remake?:
    • No. Unless they make more of the End figure, this isn’t really needed.
