Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. It’s been quite a while since I did an Ideal wave, way by in July of last year for the Fantastic Four: First Step. Since then there has been there has been a number Tv series that have been released since then but I only did a couple of Missing Legends for them. But for some reason, while I wasn’t super-excited for the Wonder Man series (it looks fun don’t get me wrong), for some reason I said to myself, this has to be a full Ideal Wave. So I went and picked out a few characters that are connected to Simon Williams as well as a few Avengers. As for why I picked each (As always remember if I don’t mention it, they will obviously get a new head):

• Wonder Man (Remake) – Starting with the main character and a remake that people have been wanting, the West Coast Avengers Wonder man. This was original released by Toybiz in their Legendary Riders wave. This would use the MVC Cap as a base. If they wanted to include a mini-Yellowjacket but I think people would rage for us not getting a full figure.
• Hollywood (Alt/New) – Next up is a second version of Wonder man but one that is from an alternate universe. Since the TV series is taking place in Hollywood what better character to include then…. well, Hollywood. This is a Simon Williams on the GOTG 3000 universe that had to change his name when it was believed he has fled from the Martian invasion.
• Grim Reaper (Remake/Villain) – Since this is a Wonder Man wave, I knew I had to include his arch-nemesis and for Simon that is his own brother, the Grim Reaper. We did get a version of that in the MCU Ultron wave but that is really showing it’s time and that face isn’t the best. This would use Vulcan body with a new scythe hand.
• Doorman WITH Flatman (New)- Since Doorman is reported to be in the series (an episode is named after him), I thought it would be great to include him in this wave. This would use the standard build. Since it would be a boring figure on itself, it should come with Flatman Standee.
• Hellcat (Remake / Female) – Next I wanted to add another Avengers and I have seen a number of people asking for a remake of Hellcat so I thought it would nice to get her in this wave. This would use the MVC Psylocke build with a claw hands.
• Nekra (NEW/ Villain / Female) – Next for the second character, i thought it would be nice to include Grim Reaper’s main squeeze, Nekra. This is a necromancer that is responsible for resurrecting Grim Reaper multiple times and has been part of his Lethal Legions a few times. This would use the Shriek body.
• Fear Itself Iron Man (Costume) – Since this is a Avengers themed wave, i had to include one of the big three so since it’s the easiest, I picked Iron Man. For this, i decided to got with his Fear Itself, the Mighty armor. No real reason why. I just like the design. This would require a whole new sculpt.
• BAF: The Challenger – For the build a figure, i thought it would be nice to add another Elder of the Universe to the collector, the original Grandmaster, the Challenger. I pick him because Simon played a role in the story that he debut, Avengers: No Surrender. This figure would require a whole new sculpt

And that is what I would do if I was making a wave based around Wonder Man. Honestly, I don’t expect them to release any figure for the show beyond a figure or two to be released. But it is fun to come up with waves like these. Let me know what you would put in a Wonder Man themed wave.
