Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. It’s that time of the year again. It’s COMIC CON week. I hope we will see a decent amount of figure this weekend. The main event will be on Friday, but you know what else is happening on Friday? We finally have the release of what is looking like the best live-action version of the Marvel’s first family, the Fantastic Four: First Step. I do think that Hasbro will reveal some related products for it, (like the rumored Inhuman sets), but there is nothing to say we can’t begin wishing for another full BAF wave of the team. I already made a wave waaayyyy back in 2018….. god I feel old….. and the only one missing from that wave that hasn’t been released in some form is Wizard. (He won’t be included in this wave obviously.) So let’s see who I picked for a new Fantastic Four COMIC based wave.

Here is why I pick them all.

• The Four – With the mention of the Future Foundation in the movie and the fact that the upcoming Dragon Man has parts hinting at the time he was a member of the group, I think many people are expecting these at some point. So why not put them here?
  • Reed (Costume/ remake) – (Yes I know the image is wrong but it’s what I had in my files) for Reed, I think it’s time he got a new dedicated sculpt for him that will allow him to change parts.
  • Sue (Costume/remake) – Sue isn’t really an athletic person so I think the Shriek body mold would be perfect mold for her. She of course will come with new shield effect.
  • Ben (Costume/remake) – Ben is another character that needs a mostly new sculpt because we don’t have a pants or vest version of him. He could easily use the arms and head, but the rest needs to be new.
  • Spider-man (Remake) – Hey, I said it was the four, never said which four. This would obviously be a straight repaint of RYV build. He won’t come with a BAF piece. Instead we will come with a statuette of Peotor, who will be in a sitting position.
• Alicia Masters (Characters) – Now for my standard left field inclusion with have the recent Mrs. Grimm, Alicia Masters. F4 is about family. Alicia has been part of the family on and off for many years. the fact that it has taken this long for her to marry Ben is a crime. This would use Peggy Carter MCU build with new legs and a new top and will come with MCU Matt Murdock’s cain.
• Mole Man (Remake) – Now we move onto the villains starting with the one that was there from the start, Mole Man. We did get a Mole man way back in the Dark Days of Marvel Legends but it’s time they remade him. This of course would require a whole new sculpt.
• Red Ghost (Character) – He may have been reported to have been cut from the movie but not from our hearts. The last standard figure for the Red Ghost. This would use the Red Skull/Dormammu build with Zemo’s neck thing and will come with Igor as an accessory.
• BAF Miklho – For the BAF I decided since I included Red Ghost as a figure and Igor and Peotor as accessories, the obvious choice for the BAF would be Miklho the gorilla. Hasbro has shown what they can do with animal character with Zabu and Lockjaw, I think many people would like to have a gorilla in their collections. Yes I know. You could go out and buy one in a toy store. But I think it would be fun for an official ML version.
