Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. It’s Toy Fair weekend and that means new reveals. However, there is also something else to look forward to next week with the return of Daredevil, Kingpin, Bullseye, Punisher and more to the MCU with Daredevil: Born Again. Since I’m working on the day it’s released, I decided to post this show’s Ideal wave today. To be honest, expect for the BAF (as I didn’t want to make it Kingpin or something like that), this wave was extremely easy to make as I knew instantly who I wanted in this wave. I didn’t include Kingpin because he has been released a number of times now and I didn’t include Punisher because I wanted this to be primarily DD. Plus, we now know he got a TV Special coming out.

Here are the characters I picked for a Daredevil comic based wave.

As for why I picked each (As always, know when I am talking about the build, I always mean it will have a new head):

• Daredevil (remake, main character) – Of course we start with DD. Yes I know people want for this to be Maximum release but needed DD in this wave and I wanted a classic version in the wave. I pick the Marco Checchetto design for the character, which seems to be the more requested version. This would require a whole new sculpt for him.
• Elektra (Remake, Female) – For the next figure we have Elektra, particularly her classic version. Like everyone else, I included her because I want her on the new Warbird/ Phoenix body to give her the articulation a character like this deserves. They should also include the head from the 3-pack with the big hair and a red bandanna.
• Jessica Jones (New Costume, Female) – Now for a character we really haven’t gotten much of, Jessica Jones. We did get a Jewel costume (and a couple of MCU figures) but we really haven’t gotten a version in her iconic look. I think this would require a redone version of her MCU figure with new double jointed elbows, pinless and a new comic accurate head.
• Bullseye (Remake, Villain) – The last update regular figure is Bullseye. I had to complete the trio from the 3-pack and I also wanted an update for Bullseye on a pinless body, particularly on the new Punisher body, with some new accessories.
• White Tiger (Hector, new) – Now for some new characters starting with a character that will be making his MCU debut (and if they follow the story line, his death) in the new series, Hector Ayala, the White Tiger. We already have his little sister (which could do with an update) but we haven’t gotten him yet. This would use the Vulcan body.
• Blindspot (New) – Next we have Daredevil protege, Blindspot. Since most of the costume seems to be painted on this can easily use the Sunfire body.
• Foggy (New) – For the final regular figure of the wave, I had to include Foggy. I mean he is like the one constant in DD’s life. that and depression. This would use the arms and legs of the Happy Hogan body with a new torso. (That can later be used for a certain missing Hellfire member.)
• BAF: Beetle (Davis, Remake) – For the BAF, this was hard to decide. i didn’t want to do Kingpin again. they already did Stiltman. Gladiator could be slotted into a regular figure. And Man-bull…. no. So I thought I would do what DD always do and steal one of Spidey’s villains, the Beetle. Particularly the Leila Davis version of the character. We got a version of this during the Toybiz days but she could really do with an update. This would require a whole new sculpt.
