Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Over the weekends, we were told that there would be no Haslab this year for Marvel. Instead, there will be a ‘Made-to-order’ (or MTO) bigger figure that will be done. This will be a limited time pre-order date for a figure that will be released next year and sent directly to the consumer. This will start with Dragon Man but if successful, they said they have an extensive list of characters they would want to do for this. So, I got thinking about who I would want to come out in this MTO program. Now for this I tried to pick characters that were large or unique but not too large. Those are the Fin Fang Foom, Eternity, Ego etc. Those would have to be a Haslab to work as they would be too big to be an MTO. But before I get onto the list just 2 or 3 honorable mentions.

Honorable Mentions

The first honorable mention is the Giant size heroes. These are the Giant-man, the Ant-men, the Goliaths, Atlas, Stature etc. I didn’t include them in this list not because I don’t want them but because If I were to include them, half the list would consist of them. Not only that but if they keep doing this (Maybe twice a year like was suggested) they would be inevitable that these characters will be made at some point.

The next honorable mentions are the Ghost Rider, and the Engines of vengeance set. Yes, I am still bitter about this not being made but I can understand why people didn’t back it. This could easily be reworked to MTO, remove the lights and electrics, don’t bother with the transforming, hell, don’t bother with Robbie’s human head. Just the car, Ghost Rider, and the flame effects. I also including this here as I want to make another list of Vehicle they can reasonably make for this line, like the Punisher Van or the Fantastic car.

The last honorable mention is something I haven’t seen mention and that is the fact that MTO can be used to give use box sets of characters that general retail would not take. Things like the Western heroes, The Horsemen of Apocalypse, Great Lake Avengers and so on and so forth. You know characters that fans would want but an average collector wouldn’t. Again, I will be making my own list for that eventually.

Now onto the list:

01 Mangog

If there is one character I have seen pretty much everyone listing since they announced this Made-To-Order project, it is Mangog. This is just the perfect character for this line as it’s big and not alot of people outside of comics would have heard of him. Hell, they could us the Dragon Man build as a starting out and work from there. There is also the fact that Dwight has said many times that he would love to make this as a simple Haslab but now that we have this system it will work for Mangog better.
