Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Today not only is the start of the SDCC weekend but also the day before the release of the only MCU movie this year, Deadpool and Wolverine. So, before all the news of both the figures and the new reveals come out, I just wanted to create a new Ideal wave based around Deadpool and Wolverine. This was actually the easier wave to make. If it were just Deadpool, I would have had to base it on only him but with Wolverine in the mix it actually opens it wide. Yes, there is on or two bias towards what was revealed in the trailers, but I have not made it completely use all the characters from them.

Theme of the wave: Deadpool, Wolverine and X-force

As for why I picked each:

• Deadpool (X-force, main character/remake) – For the first main character, I wanted to do one of his signatures looks, the Uncanny X-force. Yes, I know I should have done the “classic” version, but I wanted to do something different and remake a version of Deadpool (Plus the Wolverine.) This will use the same body as the SDCC box set that came with Bob, with a bit more detail.
• Wolverine (X-force, main character/remake) – For the second main character, Logan will be sporting his own Uncanny X-force suit. This will use the Astonishing X-men version with new arms and boots.
• x-23 Wolverine (Female/new costume/”new character”) – For the first female figure of this wave, I picked Laura in for Krakoan. Now you may be thinking this is because of the latest trailer but no, I have for picked long before even the first trailer came out. However, this time I picked her Krakoan version. Not only will this give us a new costume for Logan’s daughter but also a new character because there are 2 Laura’s now, the original and the Krakoan clone that was created when they believed she was dead. This will use the Warbird build or at least a new shorter version.
• Cassandra Nova (Female/ new character) – Now for something that was inspired by the trailer, Cassandra Nova, Xavier’s evil ‘twin’. This was one character I never thought we would see on the big screen but now that we have, we need a comic version for her now. This will use the MCU Peggy Carter (Not the Captain Carter), upper half with a new pair of legs.
• Major X (New character) – for my weird pick that I like to make, we have one of Rob Liefeld’s other creations, Major X. This character hails from the ‘Deadpool kills the Marvel universe’ universe or Dreadpool universe and seems to be another version of Cable. This would use the Vulcan mold and the helmet they use for this can be used for a future Override figure that we have been begging for.
• T-Ray (Villain/New character) – Now onto a character that is on my list of Missing Legends (In fact he is next) and Deadpool’s archenemy who may be the real Wade Wilson, may not be, T-ray. Okay yeah, except for Slayback, Deadpool really doesn’t have many characters he can call his own, but T-Ray was his main enemy for many, many years. For this it will be a near repaint of Maggot. I mean look at Maggott and look at the exaggerated art above. They are practically the same with some alternate sholder pads and arms.
• Psylocke (Female/Remake) – The last character was extremely hard to decide. I was flipfloping between X-force Nightcrawler, X-force Warpath, Patient Zero etc. But now that I have seen what the Warbird/Phoenix figure is like, This one made the huge jump for this wave.I think everyone and their mothers now want Pyslocke to be made on this mold and what better version then her classic look.
• BAF:SHIVA – You may have noticed there is a lot of reuse in this wave. That is because for this wave’s BAF, I picked a character that will require a whole new sculpt. That is because for this wave’s baf I picked the guardian robot of the Weapon X facility, SHIVA. Yes, it’s a versy obscure character but you know me and my love of the obscure characters. I also think alot of people will want this as it also appeared in the 90’s cartoon.
