Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. Next week we have the launch of the second season of Hit-Monkey launching on Disney+ (Hulu for you in the US). Since I have caught up on all the characters that have been revealed and wanted a break from research, I decided to make an Ideal box set for this series. Yes, I could do the Deadpool and Wolverine wave but one, I wanted to wait until closer to release to do that as always. As for the Ghost Rider retro wave I promise, I want to wait until AFTER the SDCC so that I don’t overlap with anything that may get revealed.

For this wave, I decided to make it special. Instead of making it based entirely based around Hit-Monkey, I decided to make it special by making it a random box set based around Hit-man or Assassins. Just think of this as an Amazon box set or SDCC box set. I tried to include Assassin’s front a variety of part of the Marvel Universe. Note this is only the comic versions of the characters, so that ghost in the TV series will not be included.

Theme: Assassins

As for why I picked each (As always when i talk about the bodies, know I also mean new heads):

• Hit-Monkey: Of course since this is a Hit-Monky box set we have to include the monkey. I was going to say it should be a complete remake but if they instead just redo the legs so he could stand and allow him to a hold his guns with his feet with interchangable part, I wouldn’t mind. Obviously a new head.
• Elektra: You can’t talk about assassins in Marvel and not the most famous one. Elektra jumps between hero and villain the whole time but her life as an assassin is something she can’t really run away from. This time I picked her Assassin series costume which was mainly a red version of the Psylocke classic costume but this one will use the new Warbird mold instead.
• Belladonna: The box set is called VS the Assassins Guild so I have included the leader of the Assasins Guild and Gambit ex-fiancee, Belladonna. I was going to say they should Lady Mandarin mold but the bands are on the up arm and legs so this will just use the Shriek mold with new arms and legs and will come with both the short hair version about and the braided head version.
• Death-Dealer: For the next one, I decided to include a character from the MCU that hasn’t gotten a figure in his comic form with Death-Dealer. Okay, granted he had like four appearances in comics but hey……we have gotten even more obscure characters. This would use the Vulcan mold.
• Boomerang: For the next one I wanted to show that there are a few character you never realise were part of the Guild as well as give us an update to a previous character. I pick Boomerang but….well no reason. He was the first character I spotted and I was like, Ah Yes him. However for this I designed to go with his classic look. This will use the Sunfire mold with parts glued onto it.
• Lord Deathstrike: For the last one, I wanted to include a Japanese character as well as a very easy character to make so I included Lady Deathstrike’s brother, Lord Deathstrike. This will use the Happy Hogan/ Inner demon build with a new head.
