Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. We have our first MCU of 2024 with the launch of Echo onto Disney+ and you know what that means. It means I spent the next few minutes telling you what characters I would put in a wave based around the deaf super-hero. I say that but really this is just another Marvel Knights wave since Echo is more associated with DD than any other book besides the Avengers. Unfortunately, it looks like build-a-wave.com is either down or not working so I have to post image individually.

As always the rules I enforce on myself:

• 6-8 figures per wave. No more. No less.
• Some version of the Title hero must be in it (Echo/DD in this case)
• 1 or 2 Female per wave.
• 1 or 2 Villains per wave, but these could be female as well.
• 1 or 2 brand new character that has never been done before
• 1 or 2 remakes. The Remakes can also be new costumes as Like Classic Spider-man or Iron Spider.
• Each wave most have a Theme ie Spider-man can include Street Level heroes or Iron Man can include Tech Heroes and villains.

The Theme for this wave: Marvel Knights

Now that’s the wave so let get onto why I picked each:

• Echo: Of course, we had to include the title character and for her, it must be her original/classic costume. I have wanted a figure of her for YEARS. I have been using Ronin to represent her since I got it, but we really do need a proper version. With the exception of arms, which need to be new sculpting, this will use the Black widow body with a new upper torso.
• Daredevil: Old Hornhead is not only Echo’s friend but once a lover. For him, I think Hasbro should finally give us a proper Shadowland. (I’m saving the classic for Born Again.) This will use the Vulcan body mold.
• White Tiger: Next I wanted to include few extra female characters and I wanted to include another White Tiger. For this I decided to include Angela Del Toro version. People don’t really know that there had been multiple characters who were WT so many will think this is just a remake. This will use the Shriek body mold.
• Electro – as for the other female, I want to include a female villain so I decided to jump over to Spider-man’s rogues gallery and pluck up Francine Frye’s Electro. She had been popping up frequently over in the Spider-man books and with Female Beetle and White Rabbit we can add her to the all-female Sinister Syndicate team. This will use the Shriek build.
• Iron Fist: For the next figure I wanted a Iron Fist but since I was saving Danny for the Born again wave, I thought it would be nice to his successor, Lin Lie, AKA Swordmaster. This will use the Shang-Chi body.
• Gladiator: For our penultimate choice we have Gladiator. Another character I have wanted for a while, this will be a hogpog of parts from other figures, including Classic Iron man forarms, Whirlwind blade and more.
• Amercian Eagle- For the final character, since Echo is Native America, I wanted to include another one so I decide to go with American Eagle, the “Captain America” of his tribe. However, instead of that extremely rascist original costume, I went with the one he wore from the Civil War arc onwards. This will use the Tombstone body with new overlay. It will come with a helmeted head and unmasked head.
• BAF: Blackheart: For the BAF this was an instant choice as I picked Blackheart, who has had many fights with Daredevil over the years. Hasbro can us a heavily modified Void build to create this.
